Don't be a DNA - Did not attend
In Just one year from 2015 there were 8,556 appointments at Limehouse General practice, where patients simply failed to attend. This wasted 2,043 hours and 40 mins of clinical time and money.
That equates to 85 days of waste that could easily be avoided if patients inform us in advance that they would not be attending their appointment.
As a result of this we incur avoidable wastage of resources. The Practice has come to the decision from the 1st of June 2016 to review any DNA at the practice.
Please ensure that you call through to cancel any appointment well in advance or if you have booked online, you can cancel online.
By doing this we can keep waiting times down and offer you more appointments when you need them.
We hope you can support the practice in this initiative.

SATURDAY CLINICS
Please note that we are open on Saturdays fortnightly. There are no emergency appointments available on Saturdays. Saturday clinics are pre-booked only.
DUTY DOCTOR SYSTEM!
From May 2015 we have introduced a new duty doctor system in the mornings only between 8.30-12.00pm.
Instead of reception directly booking your appointment, one of our Doctors will phone you to discuss your problem and arrange an appointment and or appropriate follow up. The call back will usually be within an hour, but during busy periods the reception staff will advise if there are longer waiting times.
During trials of this system, we have found that a significant number of concerns can be dealt with by telephone consultation alone without the need to wait for a face to face appointment. If a face to face appointment is needed we will try to arrange for the patient to see their registered GP, or a GP in their micro-team to ensure continuity of care.
Patients with urgent problems will be seen on the same day. For non-urgent problems, we will strive to offer an appointment within 48 hours.
