Appointments

calendarAppointments are usually 10 – 15 minutes.; please ask when booking if you need longer. We have some urgent appointments for babies and young children and for anyone who becomes suddenly or worryingly ill.

You are now able to book appointments with the GP online via the above link. For more information please click here.

We can provide a booked GP appointment within 48 hours.

You can book appointments 4 - 6 weeks in ahead.

Telephone Consultations

Patients are also offered the option of booking timed 5 minute telephone consultation with their GP. GPs have protected triage time to ring back patients who required urgent appointments or telephone consultations

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions including the following:

  • Advice on weight, diet, exercise, giving up smoking, alcohol
  • Travel health (e.g. vaccinations, malaria tablets)
  • Family planning (book with a GP if you will need to start or restart a contraceptive pill prescription)
  • Ear wax and syringing
  • Cervical smear tests
  • Asthma and COPD checks
  • Diabetes checks and annual reviews
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Immunisations
  • Dressings
  • Removal of stitches

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
